Strategic Planning and Implementation for Defence Industry SME’s
Roaring Success created and presented this program comprising of 5 workshops and 4 mentoring sessions, as a pilot program for DIIC. The initial pilot program concluded on the 13th May with six companies chosen by DIIC participating.
DIIC had chosen the participants wisely. Every one of the companies selected for this pilot program had areas of significant technical accomplishment that give them great market potential.
But all face challenges in realising their market potential. This program was able to address many of those challenges and clearly left participants more confident and more motivated.
The workshops were logically structured to ensure participants completely grasp all the intricacies involved in the planning process. Participants were also exposed to a multitude of frameworks and tools that they could start using it in their planning process. The workshops were all very participative in nature, with plenty of activities to share thoughts and work in small teams (some within their company groups and some otherwise). This proved valuable as it helped participants share ideas across and also experienced using the tools and frameworks in real-time.
A Roaring Success’ mentoring program followed each workshop. The Roaring Success Directors spent 2 hours each with the management team of these companies post each session to ensure they were able to apply what they learnt in the workshops within their businesses. These mentoring sessions helped organizations to clearly grasp the process of creating a strategic business plan. It is particularly heartening to see that all six companies are well underway with the implementation.
Stephen Lakotij, DIIC presented each participating company with a completion certificate. Going by the feedback after each session and the overall feedback, it is only fair to say that the program was a ROARING SUCCESS!
